I've been tagged by Megha to do the Meme of Sixes. She has an imaginative and artistic blog where she posts her interesting creations, so do go over and take a look.
For this I had to post the 6th picture from my 6th folder. I have some weird and silly pictures in my set, so was a little apprehensive as to which one would pop up ... but I was so happy to find that it was this picture -
How cute is that?! This is Cheyenne, my niece's cat. We had her company for almost a month between this past Thanksgiving and Christmas, when we watched her for my niece who was out of town. It was very interesting, for we already have two cats - big boys who found petite and pretty Cheyenne to be very interesting company. It was highly entertaining to watch their love/hate relationship play out over the month. Here Cheyenne basks in the sun, lying on the bed.
I'd like to pass this tag along to 6 others who I know love to take photographs:
Blu of Blucamels in Brittany,
Vagabond of Through the Lens of a Vagabond,
Vamsee of Lets go for a vacation,
Pink Dogwood of Wandering Mind,
Jude of Cariad in Crete, and
Om of Om Chaya Chitralay.
Here are the rules:
1.pick the 6th picture from your 6th photo folder.
2.tell the story around it.
3.pass it onto 6 other people.
It's been really busy, so I haven't been able to find enough time to paint, though I've started one regular painting, and another mirror frame. Will hopefully finish them some time soon. Here are two that I finished before the last year ended ... the blue one inspired by Warli tribal art from India.
Have a wonderful weekend!

oh yeah, that's a happy cat. :) at least in that shot.
both mirrors are terrific, but I am especially fond of the first one and its tribe of women border. :)
Beautiful mirrors!
Your glacier photos are stunning. I particularly like the surreal effects of the ice close up, and the one with the tree trunks in the foreground.
Thank you for visiting my blog and your kind comment.
Hello Bindu! i don't know how you do it. You have so much that you do, and it seems like nothing suffers in quality for juggling it all. Your posts are great, and these frames are perfection! I really admire how polished your art is.
And I loved the picture of your visitor cat. Pretty is right. I SO wish I wasn't allergic, it always makes me want to have one (or ten) to see a picture like this. She looks so soft, I can almost feel her fur, thanks to the miracle of high def!
That's so cute! I want her!!!
ohhh the cat looks groovy :). nice pic. You have a fab weekend
That is a very cute looking cat. Those mirrors look fabulous. The painting is very symmetrical. How do you do it?

I forgot to mention that I found some long forgotten pictures in the 6th folder. They made me very nostalgic about California. Will post the picture in a few days.

I LOVE the blue one!!!
Beautiful mirrors with lovely frames! You are incredibly artistic, Bindu.
The cat photo is very cute.
OHHH! The mirrors are beautiful. I bet they are just a blessing to own. I don't think I would ever look for my reflection though, I would be too caught up in your painting instead.
Those are neat frames! I love those strong designs.
Thanks, everyone! It's always nice to get positive feedback on my occasional creations. :)
Sydney - Cheyenne does have the softest fur, and is a pleasure to cuddle!
Priya - I'm already in line for her!
Vamsee - will look forward to your CA picture.
You honestly should sell your painted mirrors...they are just beautiful! you really are so talented at this.

Your mirrors are great, Bindu! I wonder why it never occurs to me to paint practical, functional things like that. hmmm...
Don't know. I'm glad you do, though!

The mirrors are lovely Bindu. I have a photo folder of Warli tribal art to which I add images every now and then. I love all the little people and animals. So simple yet very effective.
bindu...I love your mirrors, and your photos of the glaciers are amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Did I tell you that I did the tag?
here : http://rightmore.blogspot.com/2009/02/tandem-random-tags-for-old-love-for-old.html
i have met warlis -- who lived in virar -- this was in 1993.
what they draw is what they live with -- it is a celebration and an adoration of the environment ( actually a perception) that they live in. Their sense of community puzzles a city dweller. Their forest is their universe -- i am a loss of words to describe this tribe.
